Our Consultant, Elaine Smith, is a Solicitor with a Masters Degree and over 20 years’ experience in Employment Law.
If you have been given a Settlement Agreement, Elaine will guide you through the process in plain and simple terms, so you fully understand the legalities of the agreement. All legal costs incurred are covered by the Employer and the amount payable will be detailed within the body of the agreement. This is normally in the region of £250.00 to £750.00 plus VAT at 20%. The work will be completed within any time restrictions set by the Employer, whether this is one day or one month and Elaine will make herself available to you out of normal working hours in order to achieve these deadlines.
All advice, correspondence, perusals, drafting, telephone calls and meetings with Elaine Smith will be covered by the fee paid by the Employer and there are no further disbursements payable by you.
Elaine is also happy to advise in relation to the content of Employment contracts, staff handbooks, policies, discipline and grievance matters and any related documentation however no Employment Tribunal work will be undertaken by this firm.
She offers Employers a free review of all Employment documentation and if any changes are required to bring in line with current legislation, she will advise of proposed charges based on an hourly rate of £250.00 plus VAT at 20%. There are no further disbursements payable.
Whilst all Employment work is carried out by Elaine Smith, Karen Fleming is the Director of this firm and has ultimate responsibility for all work effected.
